Festival Internacional de Música do Marvão 2020

The anniversaries of great composers are cause for celebration at the recitals of Trio à la Joie, which combine famous arias, duets, songs and pieces for piano. Under this motto, the likelihood of discovering forgotten pearls of the history of music greatly increases. This year’s program highlights the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven and celebrates as well Béla Bartók and Pietro Mascagni, composers of such a different aesthetic but who died only a month and a half apart. The trio affirms its versatility in celebrating the anniversary of a contemporary Portuguese composer, Eduardo Patriarca, with the world premiere of his work “O templo do infinito”.
