Trio À la joie... ENG
à la joie...
Marina Pacheco (soprano), Tiago Matos (baritone) and Pedro Costa (pianist) meet on stage in order to make a toast to the musical genius of several composers, whose birth and death anniversaries are celebrated each year, in a project started in 2017.
Willing to annually honor different classical composers through their music for voice and piano or piano solo, the starting point is always the celebration of ephemerides, contributing to keep alive the memory of these names of the History of Music.
In 2017, in a musical and stylistic journey, there were explored works by M. Ravel, A. Honneger, A. Zemlinsky, E.W. Korngold, A. Fragoso and G. Gershwin.
The first tour took place in Portugal, Belgium and France, with the support of Fundação GDA. Performing in Palácio Foz, Art Base, Atelier Marcel Hastir among others, the first group of concerts ended at Casa da Música, in Porto, with a crowded audience.
In 2018 the Trio embraces compositions by Claude Debussy, Lili Boulanger, Frederico Mompou, José Vianna da Motta, Charles Gounod, Gioachino Rossini and Leonard Bernstein.
This project is a kind of toast... A celebration of a legacy... An endless sharing of memories...
