Marina Pacheco holds a “remarkable musicality, unusual confidence and solid technique, justifying the applause, not so much for the pleasant physical presence, but for the vocal ductility” (in Público).

Upcoming engagements involve concerts in Portugal and  Germany.

Winner of 26th edition of Prémio Jovens Músicos (Portugal) and awarded in several competitions around Europe, Marina performs regularly in opera, oratorio, lied and contemporary music. Praised by the international press for her “perfect virtuosity” and “talent as an actress”, she sang in several countries in Europe, as well as Cape Verde, Colombia, Mozambique and South Africa.

She dedicates herself to the promotion of Portuguese music with three released albums: “João Arroyo: obra para canto e piano”, “Canções de Lemúria” and “Cantiga partindo-se”.

In 2021 she released the album “Schmetterlinge” with the support of NEUSTART KULTUR with a musical concept which combines music and environmental issues’ awareness.

In 2022 she was also supported by NEUSTART KULTUR.

 

She has appeared in the productions of Così fan tutte by W.A.Mozart (Fiordiligi), Le Nozze di Figaro by W.A.Mozart (Susanna), Amor de Perdição by J. Arroyo (Teresa), Julie by P. Boesmans (Kristin), Candide by L. Bernstein (Cunegonde), Paride ed Elena by C.W.Gluck (Paride), L’Enfant et les Sortilèges by M.Ravel (Princesse), A Laugh to Cry  by M.Azguime (Soprano), Il Barbiere di Siviglia by G.Rossini (Rosina), TMIE  by C.A.Augusto (Soprano) and Hummus by Z.Moultaka (Sarah), among others.

She performed solo with Jenaer Philharmonie, João Roiz Ensemble, Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie Schönebeck, Norrbotten NEO, Orquestra Barroca da Casa da Música, Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa, Orquestra Clássica do Centro, Orquestra Clássica do Sul, Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras, Orquestra Gulbenkian, Orquestra do Património, Orquestra Portuguesa de Guitarras e Bandolins, Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto, Sond’Art-te Electric Ensemble and State Opera Stara Zagora Orchestra conducted by António Saiote, Artur Pinho Maria, Bart Bouckaert, Cesário Costa, Christoph König, Diogo Costa, Francisco Belli, Guillaume Bourgogne, Helder Magalhães, Jan Michael Horstmann, Jan Wierzba, Joana Carneiro, Johann Ahl, José Eduardo Gomes, José Maria Moreno, Laurence Cummings, Luís Clemente, Marc Tardue, Markus L. Marina travels around the world presenting herself in recital with Art Song, Opera Arias and her own creative projects, having been supported by GDA in 2016 and 2017.

Her musical education started with Pedro Telles, graduating in the class of José de Oliveira Lopes and completing the Masters Degree in Musical Performance with Sofia Serra and António Salgado – with the support of Santander. In 2010/2011 she was member of Vlaamse Operastudio in Belgium, with the support of Leonardo da Vinci’s Program and Robus Foundation.

Marina improved her skills under the guidance of Alberto Profeta, Ambra Vespasiani, Ann Murray, Doreen DeFeis, Elisabete Matos, Ettore Nova, Graham Johnson, Ingrid Haubold, James Hooper, João Paulo Santos, Marc Tardue, Matteo Pirola, Muriel Corradini, Laura Sarti, Luciana Serra, Paulo Ferreira, Susan Waters and Tom Krause.

At the age of eight she represented Portugal at 37º Zecchino d’Oro (Italy), going on stage since then always with the same motto of life:

You’re never fully dressed without a smile (Annie)
