TEACHING

Learn with me

I gave my first singing lesson when I was doing my Bachelors and I realize we also learn a lot while teaching.

I am really proud of my students and I cheer for them with all my heart. Happiness is what I feel when they reach their goals.

I started my singing lessons with the amazing Portuguese baritone Pedro Telles and always supported by the extraordinary pianist Jairo Grossi. I was 13 years old when I first met and started to work with them. Years after we were already going on stage together and doing concerts that will stay forever in my heart. What a privilege! Unfortunately, Jairo is not here anymore with us, but He will be in our hearts forever. This to say that these two wonderful people taught me how to be a better singer, teacher and human being.

I kept studying and learning with many good professionals and now I’ve been teaching for a while. Online or presential lessons (in Germany), adapting to your circumstances.

We never stop to learn, so I continue working to improve as well. Always aiming to be my better version.

“Na Música todos contam”

“Na Música todos contam” (In Music everyone counts) is a project created by Orquestra Clássica do Centro in a partnership with the region of Coimbra (center of Portugal).

The main goal of this project is to bring children and seniors to sing on stage with the Orchestra. The songs are famous classical music hits, with special lyrics in Portuguese created by tenor and director Mário João Alves.

For two years I’ve been part of the project rehearsing Kids and Seniors and singing solo in the final concerts, conducted by José Eduardo Gomes and Jan Wierzba, respectively.

I ended up rehearsing more than 300 people in 2017 and 500 in 2018.

After the success of the performance in 2017, “Na Música todos contam”  gave place to another format of the idea: “A OCC convida…” (Orquestra Clássica do Centro invites…”). Based in the same concept this project was dedicated to schools in the district of Coimbra that were not involved in the biggest “Na Música todos contam”.

Mentoring

𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 for young singers

I've been giving individual career counseling sessions for a few years now. Based on my experience, conversations I've had with other singers and many years of notes, documents and ideas I've recorded, I pass on this information in a way that's adapted and targeted to the goals of those who contact me. It's been very interesting to understand your doubts, ambitions and dreams and to be a little part of it.

I recently also started a collaboration with M3ntoria 3D project and I'm accompanying a singer who recently arrived in Portugal from Brazil.

It's a real privilege to be able to contribute a little once I understand how challenging it can be to move to another country, with a different culture and sometimes language, and the added value of having someone to give you some guidance and tips on how to take the first and next steps...

This work is very lovely and involves following the market, creating contact networks, but also warning about 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 and 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧. We all have our own characteristics that make us unique and different paths to follow.

On this side, I support you in whatever you feel you need most. In addition to technique and musicality, which I work on in my singing lessons, there are countless parallel issues to this artistic reality which, when well structured, bring a clearer direction to our path.
