Dealing with rejection…

Listening “no” is part of this crazy auditions and competitions process, in an almost unrestrained attempt to get a place, a role or a little bit of highlight in some production. It is an unequal struggle of interests, often filled with moments of lack of humanism, lack of character and most of all lack of sensitivity.

The question is: how is it possible that a career and a profession which should  be guided by pure and genuine human principles is being undermined by such materialistic issues as economic convenience, the importance of image and social status benefits? Why is the essence lost? Where are the true values of Art?

I believe the key is to keep a correct posture, true to our basic existence principle and to our legitimate passion which pushes us to believe and work hard for this career. Our steps can not be done regarding others, otherwise our intentions would be adulterated and all essence would be lost. Focus! Honesty! And lots of hard work! That little star will always end up shining, as long as that brightness comes from the heart. Someday it will be “yes”…
