CARTA BRANCA À MINHA MÃE

Carta Branca à Minha Mãe is a recital for soprano and piano that brings together music, poetry, and painting in an intimate reflection on womanhood, heritage, and memory.

Inspired by the aesthetics of Art Nouveau, where the female figure merges with nature, symbolism, and creation, this project proposes a sensitive journey through songs by women composers from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, in dialogue with poetic language and painting.

The recital unfolds as a narrative, in which different emotional states and images follow one another: birth and childhood, stories, journeys, nature and flowers, the desire to belong, distance, love, loss, and what endures.

On stage, displaying paintings accompany the entire journey, not as mere scenery, but as a living and silent presence. As in Art Nouveau, where the female figure is both muse and creator, these visual works become an extension of the voice.

Carta Branca à Minha Mãe is a letter that does not close, but remains open, echoing through music, words, and image.
