Comparison

As I heard once, Comparison is the thief of joy.

Well, I must say I totally agree with this because we tend to concentrate more on what other person is achieving “more” than ourselves, ending up losing energy and joy. But that’s not even fair. We are all different, we have distinct backgrounds and we all have our own way of doing things. Age, gender, social status, personal context or intrinsic characteristics are huge influencers in our paths.

What we should aim to focus in is only our dream and try to realize that the powerful mindset we can choose is the key to achieving that dream. And even more, we won’t be wasting time comparing the incomparable.

So, let’s stop this and use some kind of imaginary blinders every time we realize we are again facing comparison feelings. Let’s understand everyone has a special gift which is in itself the magic and the reason why we chose this career.

And remember, as Marie Forleo* says, “Where you are is exactly where you need to be. Trust the timing of your life.”
