Donata Cucinotta and her Blog

Always looking for more information and trying to learn more and more I found out many singers are willing to help and give advices. And this is amazing to see. Also inspired by Lucas Meachem – about whom I wrote an article too – as she wrote on her social media, Donata Cucinotta also has a Blog. She uses it to give her point of view, to inspire and to give important advices.

If you visit her website you can also find a section about singing lessons and it has all around some important and inspiring quotes as this one:

“Only YOU can teach yourself how to sing. Only YOU can find your voice. I am only a guide, because at the end of the day, it’s all about you finding your own voice.”

In her post “Younger Artist Advice” she writes a powerful paragraph which I transcribe and suggest you to read the full article here:

“A big part of life – but especially a life in the performing arts – is failure.  You will fail 10 times more often than you will succeed.  You will be rejected:  casually, callously, and sometimes with prejudice.  Sometimes it will be fair, sometimes it will be a mystery.  Even when it is fair it will still hurt. Deciding if you are up for that should be a major focus when deciding to pursue this as a career, because the only thing you have control over is how you deal with those failures, those rejections.  If you are not prepared to really dig in, to have to fight for it over and over again, then you need to make some tough choices.”
